Farm Surplus is a new website designed to bring buyers and sellers together.

Because we are a new business we need to raise our profile and let the rural sector know how we can benefit them by saving on advertising or commissions when they want to trade.

We see this opportunity as a win win for both schools and your community.

Here’s how it works:

Schools send home the newsletter and promote the sale of subscriptions.

For each paid subscription we will donate $10 towards your school (and give you a $1,000 bonus if you get over 100 subscriptions).

Subscriptions are not confined to your locality.  Anyone subscribing within New Zealand can choose your school. And with over 80,000 rural households in New Zealand, there are plenty of opportunities!

Farmers sign up to Farm Surplus and choose your school as the beneficiary.

A subscription costs $50 and allows them to advertise twenty times during the year.

Categories include livestock, stockfeed, tools, machinery, motorbikes, tractors, employment opportunities and rural services.

Farm Surplus needs the support of the rural community to succeed.

Traditionally farmers have had no choice but to pay high commissions and fees for trading or advertising as they were unaware of who was also in the market to buy or sell. Farm Surplus is a cost effective answer to bringing buyers and sellers together.
